Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the enchanting countryside of central Sicily, Hotel Villa Flora Relais is a gem that I recently discovered during my travels. The picturesque villa boasts a harmonious blend of rustic and ultra-modern design elements, creating a visually captivating environment that's both stylish and cozy. My room featured large windows that offered a magnificent view overlooking the town of San Cataldo, accompanied by the captivating sounds of nature. The culinary experience at Zaghara, the hotel's Michelin-awarded restaurant, was nothing short of remarkable. Each meal consisted of inventive Italian dishes, showcasing local ingredients that made every bite a testament to Sicilian heritage. The buffet breakfast was a delightful start to the day, complemented by fresh-squeezed orange juice-a personal favorite. The outdoor swimming pool provided a refreshing escape, while the well-tended gardens and panoramic terraces offered the perfect spaces for relaxation after a day of exploring. The attentive staff, who were fluent in English and Italian, went above and beyond to ensure my companions and I felt at home, making this an unforgettable city break for any beer enthusiast eager to discover the vibrant culture of Sicily.
